The Engineers looked to get back on track at home against Skidmore and Vassar after losing three out of their last four games on the road. They did just that with two consecutive victories, dismantling Skidmore 74-61 and Vassar 78-60, subsequently rising up the Liberty League standings to second place with a 9-5 league record.

The Engineers netted three third-period goals to defeat the Union Dutchwomen 3‒1 for their second consecutive Mayor’s Cup victory, remaining the reigning champions. Maddy Peterson buried two goals past the Union goaltender in her second game after returning from an injury earlier in the month; Maddy Papineau netted the Engineers’ go-ahead goal. Amanda Rampado made 22 saves on 23 shots in the victory.

Max Smolinski scored an overtime winner to defeat the Clarkson Golden Knights 3‒2, snapping Rensselaer’s three-game losing streak. The Engineers also defeated the St. Lawrence Saints the following night with an overtime winner from Sutter Muzzatti to take a 4‒3 victory. RPI takes on Union in the Mayor’s Cup on January 28.

Meg Hildner and Ellie Kaiser scored goals in the third period to secure a vital 2‒0 victory over St. Lawrence. ECAC Goaltender of the Week Amanda Rampado racked up 78 saves in the two games over the weekend, conceding only two goals. Rensselaer still sits in ninth in the ECAC with the win bringing them to 9.5 points.

The Engineers came out on top in their clashes against Liberty League opponents Clarkson and St. Lawrence, bringing their league record to 5‒2. Nicole DaPra and Brielle Sharry scored double-digit points in both games, with DaPra grabbing a double-double against Clarkson. Julia Rowe recorded a double-double in the win against St. Lawrence as well. Rensselaer sits in third place in the Liberty League behind undefeated Ithaca and Skidmore.

After suffering their first Liberty League defeat of the season to Ithaca the previous night, the No. 21 Engineers defeated the rival Union Dutchmen 65‒49 to increase their season record to 10‒2 (4‒1). Jonny Angbazo led Rensselaer in scoring with 17 points.

Five Engineers scored double digit points in their 82-44 win over the Bard Raptors. The victory brings Rensselaer’s season record to 9-1, 3-0 in the Liberty League.

Reigning-champions Rensselaer scored three touchdowns, two in the first quarter, to secure a 23-13 victory over Union in the annual Dutchman Shoes rivalry game. Not receiving an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, the Engineers will finish their season at East Campus Stadium to take on the Morrisville Mustangs in the Scotty Whitelaw Bowl on November 19.

Olympic gold medalist Sarah Fillier contributed to all of the Tigers’ goals in Princeton’s 5‒1 victory over Rensselaer. Hannah Price netted the Engineers only goal; goaltender Amanda Rampado made 31 saves.

The Engineers secured a 10‒6 come-from-behind victory over the St. Lawrence Saints, scoring on a touchdown reception by Shane Allison and a field goal by Aleksander Maric. The Rensselaer defense shut down the Saints after giving up a touchdown in the first quarter, holding them to just 153 yards of total offense.

The Engineers came back from being down 3‒1, equalizing with less than three minutes remaining in regulation, but could not finish off the Harvard Crimson in overtime when Ellie Kaiser rang a shot off the underside of the bar. Rensselaer tied, remaining winless in the ECAC.

John Evans buried the Engineers’ game-winning second goal to defeat the Union Dutchmen 2‒1 in the annual Blackout game at a sold-out Houston Field House. Kyle Hallbauer netted the Engineers’ first goal, and goaltender Jack Watson saved 23 of the 24 shots he faced.

The RIT Tigers scored in extra time to defeat the Engineers in their Liberty League quarterfinal bout, eliminating Rensselaer from the playoffs.

The Engineers sent the Golden Knights home and themselves to the playoffs in their 3‒0 victory. Paul Silva, Julio Rodriguez, and Liam McDermott netted goals in the decisive victory. Rensselaer finished fourth in the Liberty League, granting them home-field advantage for the first round of the playoffs on November 1.

Engineers solidify their playoff position as they survive Ithaca’s late-game surge to win the game 2‒1.

The Rensselaer Engineers defeated the RIT Tigers 2‒0 and 3‒0 for their first two wins of the season, snapping a 13-game losing streak carried over from last year. RPI’s Marah Wagner and Ellie Kaiser both tallied three points in the two-game set. Goaltender Amanda Rampado recorded 42 saves in the shutouts.

RIT overshadows RPI’s Senior Day as the Engineers are held scoreless en route to a 1-0 loss to the Tigers.

The Engineers dropped their first two home games of the season to the Mercyhurst Lakers, bringing their record to 0‒6‒0. Hannah Price scored the Engineers’ only goal of the weekend, and Amanda Rampado made a combined 62 saves on 66 shots for a 0.939 save percentage. Rensselaer returns to the Houston Field House for a two-game set against RIT on October 21 and 22 at 3 pm.

Quarterback Jake Kazanowsky connected with DJ Palmer for two fourth-quarter touchdowns to mount a staggering 14-point comeback, defeating the Hobart Statesmen 16‒13 to remain undefeated in the Liberty League. The Rensselaer defense continued their solid form as third in Division III in total defense and fifth in scoring defense, holding the visitors to 201 yards of total offense and forcing a safety.

TJ Walsh recorded a hat trick and an assist in the Engineers’ 7‒4 victory over the Army West Point Black Knights. Jack Agnew tallied three assists, Lauri Sertti and Jakob Lee both with two as well, and John Evans and Max Smolinksi netted their first collegiate goals. The win brings Rensselaer’s record to 4‒0‒0, the best start to an RPI season since 1999.

Kyle Osborne headed in the Engineers’ winning goal in a 2‒1 victory at Union.

The Rensselaer Engineers beat the Mercyhurst Lakers 6‒3 in their home opener after netting a goal 33 seconds in and converting on both of their first two power plays. Jakob Lee finished the night with five points on two goals and three assists, Jake Gagnon with three points on a goal and two assists, and Ryan Mahshie with two goals. In the game the following night, RPI’s Jack Brackett buried an overtime winner to take the contest 3‒2.

The Toronto Varsity Blues grabbed a game-winning goal with six minutes remaining to defeat the Engineers 2‒1. This was Rensselaer’s last game before their season opener against Mercyhurst on October 7. Goaltenders Brett Miller and Carson Cherepak registered 14 and seven saves, respectively, in the defeat. Sutter Muzzatti netted his first goal in an RPI sweater off an assist from Jack Brackett.

Rensselaer hosted five Division I teams for the Siena Invitational. Several Engineers advanced deep into the back draw. The doubles team consisting of Nikki Ridenour and Lorna Flores Gonzalez will be competing at the ITA Cup in October.
