Tuesday, September 10

• Sherry Road

Automobile Accident: Caller reported student struck by vehicle on crosswalk. Officer reported injured person was conscious, alert, and breathing. Subject transported to Samaritan ER. Both parties were RPI students.

 

Wednesday, September 11

• Vistor’s Information Center Parking Lot

Automobile Accident: Caller stated that unknown vehicle struck caller’s vehicle while it was parked in North Lot.

• College Avenue

Medical: Caller stated that subject had passed out at intersection of College Avenue and 15th Street. Officer reported subject was taken to Station 2 Fire House. Subject was treated for possible dehydration on scene and released.

 

Thursday, September 12

• Department of Public Safety

Medical: Student came to DPS to report being struck by parking gate arm on campus. Medical report filed.

• Stacwyck Apartments Parking Area

Damaged Vehicle: Caller reported that tree limb fell on caller’s vehicle while it was parked in parking lot behind Stackwyck-Rousseau, causing damage to vehicle. E&SS was called to remove debris. Report filed.

 

Friday, September 13

• Jonsson Engineering Center

Injury: Caller reported that student dropped c-clamp on left foot, causing injury to foot. Student refused medical attention. Refusal form filed.

• Quadrangle Dorms

Medical: Student complained of stomach pain and was vomiting. Student refused medical transport. Reports filed.

 

Sunday, September 15

• Stacwyck Apartments

Intoxication: Intoxicated subject was found conscious, alert, and breathing. Student refused medical treatment.

• Stacwyck Apartments

Fire Alarm: Carbon monoxide alarm was received. System reset by TFD. National Grid checked area with negative results.

• E-Complex

Larceny: Caller stated that unknown person took caller’s bike from bike rack located outside E-Complex. Bike was secured with combination lock. Report filed for petit larceny.

• Blitman Residence Commons

Medical: Caller stated that student had called 911 reporting allergic reaction. Subject had already been transported to Samaritan on officer’s arrival. Patrol responded to Samaritan for follow-up information. Subject had been feeling dizzy and light-headed. Medical report filed.

 

Monday, September 16

• Sports Center and Robison Pool

Medical: RPIA dispatched to Armory for report of subject with difficulty breathing. DPS responded. Subject was student of SUNY Albany on campus with ROTC. RPIA responded, and subject refused medical assistance. ROTC staff monitored subject.

• Russell Sage Laboratory

Larceny: Caller came to DPS to report theft of Amazon Kindle.

• Mueller Center

Larceny: Caller stated that, while working out in Mueller Center, unknown person(s) stole caller’s backpack and iPad from locker room. Locker was not locked at time of theft. Larceny report filed.

• Brinsmade Terrace

Fire Alarm: Alarm activation was received for Brinsmade Terrace. Rensselaer County 911 notified. Alarm caused by cooking smoke from Brinsmade. Alarm reset by TFD.

• Bray Hall

Injury: Caller reported that subject was bleeding from toe. Rensselaer County emergency services contacted. Subject transported to Samaritan via RPIA. ResLife and DOSO notified.
