AT 7 PM ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, RENSSELAER’S PANHELLENIC COUNCIL HOSTED its annual Greek Lip Sync. This year, twenty greek houses, composed of both fraternities and sororities, participated, as well as the RPI Dance Team. Elisa Noveli ’13, Barry Fortuna ’13, and Grand Marshal Kevin Dai ’14 judged the performances. The fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon took first place in the competition, the fraternity Phi Gamma Delta took second place, and the sorority Alpha Phi took third place. The entry fee was $5 or $4 with a canned good. The proceeds of Greek Lip Sync were donated to Lifenets, a charity founded by RPI students which provides nets to inhabitants of Malawi, Africa. The idea is that the nets keep mosquitos away during the night, which prevents the spread of malaria.
