Poly summer issue canceled

Editors say content will be included in first regular issue

The staff of The Polytechnic regretfully announce that the normally-printed summer issue will not be produced this year. In a recent Reddit post, Editor in Chief Spencer Posson ’14 cited lack of funds due to low advertising numbers, and, less significantly, lack of manpower. The late announcement of this change is due to factors beyond The Poly‘s control.

“The content has not been cancelled; everything that would have been in the summer issue will be put into our first issue of the semester. The probable exception to this is our business directory, which we are thinking about printing mid-semester or in December,” said Posson. “Seeing as this has historically been a special insert that does not have advertising, we need some time to line things up with that.”

Anyone interest in joining The Poly can email poly@rpi.edu or come to closings on Monday and Tuesday nights in the Poly office, near the elevator in the Rensselaer Union.
