Fire Alarm: Fire alarm activation was received. Alarm was caused by cooking smoke in first floor kitchen area. Reset by TFD.
Wednesday, September 18
• Russell Sage Dining Hall
Larceny: Caller stated that unknown person stole caller’s iPhone. Larceny report filed.
• Cogswell Laboratory Parking Lot
Automobile Accident: Caller stated that vehicle struck another parked vehicle. Sergeant responded to file report. Parked vehicle was parked in fire lane. Ticket was issued.
Thursday, September 19
• Commons Dining Hall
Medical: Caller reported student with severe nose bleed. Subject was conscious, alert, and breathing. TFD responded to assist subject.
• Blitman Residence Hall
Fire Alarm: Alarm caused by detection of carbon monoxide. Alarm panel showed that detector was in first floor hallway. TFD responded and notified National Grid. National Grid was on scene and reported that all appeared to be normal.
Friday, September 20
• E-Complex
Fire Alarm: Rensselaer County 911 was called. Alarm was caused by cooking smoke.
• Beman Lane
Automobile Accident: Caller stated that unknown vehicle hit caller’s 2011 Toyota Prius and left scene of incident. Vehicle was parked in area of Beman Lane.
• Anderson Athletic Field
Injury: While playing soccer, subject was inadvertently struck in head with an elbow. Rensselaer County 911 called and RPIA was dispatched. Subject transported to Samaritan via RPIA. DOSO notified.
• Off-campus Location
Burglary: Caller reported that caller’s apartment had been broken into. Officers responded. TPD was notified. Scene was handed over to TPD.
Saturday, September 21
• Sage Avenue
Injury: While on patrol, an officer noticed that RPIA crew was en route to residence. Upon officer’s arrival, officer learned that subject had fallen and had head
injury. Subject was transported to Samaritan. Officer completed follow-up at Samaritan.
• Rensselaer Apartment Housing Projects
Fire Alarm: Fire alarm activation was received for Albright Court. Apartment next door was indicated on alarm panel. Cause for alarm was unknown. Reset by TFD. Fire report filed.
• Crockett Hall
Larceny: Caller stated that unknown person took caller’s bike. Bike was secured to bike rack outside of Crockett Hall. Bike was secured with combination lock.
Sunday, September 22
• Off-campus Location
Fire Alarm: Caller stated that fire alarm was activated at Moe’s Southwest Grill. No alarm was received at DPS. Officers and TFD notified. Building was evacuated and officers checked fire panel, which stated that building was in “normal” condition. Alarm was caused by an employee, who was cleaning grill. FLS notified.

Fire alarm activation was received. Alarm was caused by cooking smoke. Reset by TFD.
• Gurley Building
Automobile Accident: Caller stated that unknown person struck RPI vehicle belonging to EH&S in parking lot. Report filed.
