The Culinary Club at RPI is dedicated and focused on the appreciation of all cuisine, as well as the different methods of preparing them. With Gregory DiAntonio as the new president and the other 13 members, the Culinary Club is sure to be a hit for all those passionate about delicious cuisine.

Club members meet together once every other week and during this time, you can be sure wonderful and tasty meals are thought up and talked about. However, merely talking and learning about new dishes is only a start. Members also have hands-on experience in cooking. The Culinary Club plans to run regular tutorial sessions in which to teach both members and guests about cooking. (If you have been paying attention to the signposts a few weeks ago, you may have noticed the Culinary Club hosting its first event, bruschetta.)

While interviewing DiAntonio, he talked about several objectives that he was determined to foresee. One of these goals is to introduce the members to new and delicious dishes. RPI hosts an extremely diverse student population and with these numbers, comes a wonderful opportunity to experience foods unique to their culture. With other goals, such as increasing general interest in cooking to introducing the local community to various cultural foods during on-campus events, the Culinary Club is a great place to learning the basics of boiling eggs or to perfecting how to flambé.

Another great idea was to sponsor several trips to local farms and restaurants to expose the various aspects of the culinary community. In addition, with fingers crossed and mouths watering—be able to invite a great chef to come to RPI and visit (or more importantly, cook)!

So therefore if you have a passion to cook, bake or simply curious about the gastronomical arts, the Culinary Club is phenomenal. In addition, if you have learned nothing useful at RPI as a life skill, being able to cook for yourself, friends, and family is truly an ability to make you proud.
