ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 7, A LARGE BRANCH FELL across power lines on Belle Avenue, in the Pawling region of Troy, home to many Rensselaer fraternity chapters. Power was knocked out to multiple customers in the area, including the Alpha Sigma Phi and Zeta Psi fraternities, as well as non-RPI-related residences. According to Troy Fire Department, the lines brought down were “primary lines,” leading to high priority in National Grid’s repair queue.
