The Rensselaer Panhellenic Association held its spring fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation on Monday of GM Week. Teams of five competed in a Family Feud-styled game to name the most common responses of 100 RPI students surveyed. Can you name the item that the most students forgot to pack for spring break? (Only at RPI—it was a laptop power cord!) We would like to thank Phi Mu Delta, Theta Chi, and Phi Kappa Theta for contributing teams to compete against our sororities and help support Make-A-Wish.
Alpha Gamma Delta held its 24-hour volleyball tournament on March 23-24. They raised $700 to support the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, which supports the fight against juvenile diabetes. Pi Beta Phi held its 23rd annual Mr. RPI competition on March 27, and raised $1,150, to be donated to the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the American Heart Association. Alpha Omega Epsilon has been selling pancakes and T-shirts to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. So far, these ladies have raised over $300 and expect to add to that total. Alpha Phi held its major spring fundraiser February 24. At its third annual Queen of Hearts Poker Tournament, $820 was donated to the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports women’s cardiac care.
Sigma Delta is hosting a Food for Clothes drive today in the Union from 11 am to 3 pm. In exchange for the donation of clothes, the sisters will be providing lunch. All clothes will be donated to the YMCA and YWCA, professional clothing is preferred.
As a reminder, Greek Weekend will be here soon! Mark your calendars for April 13-15.
