This Saturday, the Independent Council will be participating in Go Be Red’s Midway Carnival. Each participating group is to host one activity, and the IC will be sponsoring our biannual pool tournament in the games room. The event will run from 3-5 pm, and we will be giving out free pizza, soda, and snacks. Additionally, the top three winners in the tournament will win prizes of $25, $15, and $10 respectively to the Union bookstore. If you don’t win, you are still guaranteed to score some food, so come check us out and stop by the other fun events at the carnival that afternoon.
A few weeks ago, I mentioned the prospects of a laundry and dry cleaning service of some sort in the Union. I wanted to thank the Executive Board for their quick response in considering and researching the idea further. Right now, the E-Board is investigating the feasibility of such a project, so if you have any ideas, do not hesitate to contact me and I will forward your questions and suggestions to them.
