The Panhellenic Council sponsored our “Walk for a Wish” this past weekend to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation of Northeastern New York. Over 50 people turned out for a beautiful day and walked to Prospect Park and back. We would like to thank Grand Theft Audio, Sodexho, the Troy Police, Public Safety, all of our sponsors and volunteers for all of their help in making this a success.

This week, members of the Panhellenic Council, its committees, and members of the Independent Council will be manning tables in the union foyer to help collect donations for the U.S. soldiers stationed in Iraq. Monetary donations are certainly accepted, however some soldiers have requested that we send “things their mothers would not.” This is an excellent opportunity to come and show your support for the troops! If you would like more information, e-mail mccark@rpi.edu.

The Council is excited about a busy rest of the semester. We are now selling greek letters for anyone interested. You can order a t-shirt or sweatshirt with your letters on them, with the colors of your choice. All of the proceeds go directly to Make-A-Wish. E-mail gollik@rpi.edu to place an order. We are also electing a new council at the end of the month, but watch for us co-sponsoring the AIDS quilt with the Student Health Center in early December.
