The 12th annual Awards of Excellence luncheon, sponsored by the Greek Life Office, was held this past Saturday. The greek dean, Brian Dominguez, was the master of ceremonies, and featured speakers included Dr. Jackson as well as Eddie Knowles, the vice president for student life. Both stressed the importance of greek life on campus, the achievement that greeks have made, and the responsibilities that we must fulfill.
The President’s Award was given to Lambda Chi Alpha for the second year in a row for their service to the university and the community, among other accomplishments. Furthermore, the new Greek Man of the Year is Pi Lambda Phi Ryan Wetmore. Greek Woman of the Year is Katie Veluzo from Alpha Gamma Delta. The Panhellenic Council was proud to bestow its Panhel Participation Award to Alpha Phi for its outstanding contributions to the Council’s endeavors this semester.
