As the semester dwindles to an end, many of us are forced to say goodbye to the seniors that we’ve enjoyed friendships with for many years, the roommates we were stuck with for the year but came to love, and to our professors and coaches. The end of a semester is a time for celebration and closure.

On Saturday afternoon several administrators including President Jackson, gathered together to award scholars, philanthropists, leaders, carpenters, finance directors, public relations directors, and many others. They were acknowledging greeks.

The awards were presented in the faculty lounge in Sage Dining Hall following a delightful lunch. The theme of the luncheon recognized The Rensselaer Plan, and the model of excellence our greek system is striving for. This is the 11th year the Awards of Excellence have been in place to reward and motivate chapters on this campus toward that model.

Congratulations to Greek Man of the Year Jeffrey Andritz, Greek Woman of the Year Jennifer Spear, and the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha on receiving the much deserved President’s Award.

All awards were richly deserved, and I congratulate their recipients. Good luck to everyone on their final exams and in the upcoming year.
