Quick! If you are reading this article on Wednesday, the 22 of January, then you do not have much time! The Independent Council is holding a pool tournament in the games room tonight. The games will begin at 6:30 pm, so be there to sign up before then! First prize will be a $25 gift-certificate to the Union bookstore, followed by prizes for second and third place. Food will be served—not pizza!—we are ordering a 6 foot sub for all those folks who will compete in the event, and drinks will be on us.
If you didn’t get to read this article in time, then you missed out—this time. The IC will be holding events like these this semester, so keep your eyes on the poster-board outside the Student Government Suite in the Union. Sponsorships are still being discussed for this semester, so if you would like the IC to help out with a particular event, e-mail us and your idea will be presented to the Council.
