On Sunday the Grand Marshal and I will be hosting the annual Grand Marshal Brunch in the McNeil Room from 10 am to 12 pm. If you are looking to see a theatrical performance, the RPI Players will be performing The Tempest on Friday at 8 pm and Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm. There is so much going on this weekend so bring your parents to the Union and to check out our teams.

This past week, the Executive Board began preparing for the budgeting process that will be taking place the first two weekends of the second semester. The E-Board has completed a tentative budget schedule that is similar to the accelerated budget schedule of last year. The E-Board representatives will be working hard over the next few weeks to build a strong budget foundation with their clubs to effectively prepare a budget with them and assist them through the process. The E-Board was also visited this past week by a special guest, David Parker, a system administrator of the Union. David spoke about the services that the Union offers clubs to assist in web hosting, e-mail services, club printing, club websites, and club management. Through Parker’s presentation the E-Board representatives will be working with their clubs to utilize all resources available through the Union. On another note, the student feedback program will be beginning this week so I encourage everyone to voice your opinion when you see an E-board representative. This is your opportunity to tell us what you think about the Union!

As always everyone is welcome to attend E-Board meetings, which are held on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm in the Patroon Room of the Union. Please feel free to send me any questions or comments at pu@rpi.edu and x8598 or stop by the office in the Union in room 3136.
