This year the Graduate Council has a series of events planned, beginning with a “Meet the Grad Council” pizza and movie night on November 9 in DCC 308. We will be showing The Count of Monte Cristo, and invite all graduate students to stop in, say “Hi,” and have some pizza. Future events include a series of speakers and panels on topics of particular interest to graduate students. If you have any suggestions or comments about the speaker series, please e-mail lettin@rpi.edu.
We are continuing our attempts to support graduate students on campus. We meet Tuesdays from 4-5 pm in the Student Government Suite and invite any interested graduate students to come and participate. There are also still openings available for senators and representatives should anyone wish to take a more formal role. We are also working on issues surrounding grad student health care and housing.
