Another day, another dollar—or so the old saying goes. Thanks to the Executive Board, the Independent Council is now free to help sponsor another on-campus event. It is our hope that everyone will come and see the Sheer Idiocy Invitational, which will be held on April 6 in Mothers. The Council will provide the food (which includes pizza!), while Sheer Idiocy and the other invited improv comedy groups provide an outstanding main-event for all to watch. Other specifics about the show are yet to come, so please stay tuned.
In other news, IC surveys are ready to go, so please be watchful when your professors hand out the IDEA surveys in the coming month Your answers will be later published in a work that will help freshmen and upperclassmen choose elective and introductory courses. Elections are also coming up, so I personally encourage everyone to think about a position in student government. The IC (and other groups) see little involvement from students at large, and student government depends on participation if necessary tasks are to be accomplished. Running for office is not difficult, and further information can be found on line, courtesy of the Rules and Elections Committee, at http://elections.union.rpi.edu/.
