Well, folks, this will be my last column for the year, as my term is ending this week. Tomorrow, your new graduate senators and representatives will be elected and take office. The final elections are being held tomorrow in the DCC from 9 am to 5 pm, and in the Union and the Commons from 9 am to 7 pm. If you voted in the primary elections on Monday, be sure to vote on Thursday and pick up your GM Week mug.

Suds ’N Flicks, which was held yesterday in the Union, was the last event organized by the current Graduate Council. Thanks to all of you who stopped by to watch the movie with us. As I look back on the activities of the past year, I am pleased with the work that we have done. It may not be as much as past councils have achieved, and it might be more than others have, but I think we did our best.

Participation on the Grad Council has given me the opportunity to meet some really great people and gain a perspective on RPI that I’m sure I wouldn’t have seen otherwise. It’s been a pleasure working with everyone on the Council and in the administration this year. I want to say thanks to all my fellow Council members for all their work on our various projects and events and especially to anyone who has had the pleasure of being a cook at one of our barbecues. You all have been great this year!

Now, I must get back to writing my thesis. It is going to be a very busy and frantic month as I finish up. Best of luck to the newly elected council and may your time at RPI be productive and worthwhile.
