A wise man once said, "The only thing that is constant is change." What a profound and accurate thought—no wonder he was referenced as a "wise man." This constant showed itself this week in the Union. Whether it is the shade of my skin color or the food service in the McNeil Room and the Rathskellar, all three look a bit different than they did a mere week ago.

The beloved cyberwraps have warped back to their location from last year to come to rest in the Rathskellar. This allows one of RPI’s favorite foods to be offered for extended hours now, from 11 am until 7 pm. Now you can get all of the computer-motif wraps for dinner while you work on your laptop! This move made room for a new offering in the McNeil Room dining area. "Ultimate Baja" has arrived straight from Mexico. I tried some earlier in the week and I got a tremendous value for my money along with a tremendous taste of Mexican spice. These new tastes will be offered from 11 am to 2 pm on Mondays through Fridays. You should definitely stop in and check out the new décor and new food.

Additionally, there were some more changes that occurred in the Rathskellar food service area, now called "Union Grill"—or is that "Union Grille"—I’m not sure. Anyway, the pizza area has also moved to make more room for the new grab’n’go burger and fries spot. This allows you to get one of the five food groups (hamburgers) while you run through the Union for lunch. The quick-and-easy approach lends itself to easy self-service and quick stoppage of your hunger pains.

Thanks to Rick Jones, the entire Sodexho Marriott team, and RUBOC for making it all happen. Keep your eyes out for more changes to come to help meet your needs even more. As always, if you have any concerns about the food service in the Union or any other services, drop me an e-mail and I will do all I can to take care of it as soon as I possibly can. Once again my e-mail address is pu@rpi.edu.

On a completely unrelated note, I hope each of you had a very relaxing and enjoyable spring break. It only leaves us with about six weeks worth of classes left. It never ceases to amaze me how fast the spring semester always seems to go. Be sure to keep your eye out for all the great things spring semester brings that I have talked about previously. GM Week is just around the corner! On that note, I will leave you with thoughts of big celebrations, warm weather, GM Week events, and small children frolicking in the meadow. Have a great week!
