Well, I hope y’all enjoyed the long weekend and got away from working so hard doing your schoolwork, for at least a little. Only a few more weeks and we all will be enjoying spring break; hopefully, no work and a little sun.
Again, the Undergraduate Council is working on our priorities. I have also met with administrators in the Lally School to discuss some concerns that had been raised to me about some classes. As I have said in previous columns, if you have any concerns about any of your academics, please let me know, and, hopefully, we can solve them, and if we can’t do it ourselves, we can work in conjunction with the Senate academics committee.
I also would like to send my regards on behalf of the Undergraduate Council and myself to the family of Orley Kantz. Orley died this past weekend in a tragic skiing accident. She graduated in December with a Masters in environmental management and policy. Our hearts go out to them as they deal with this tragic accident.
As always, if you have any issues, problems, or concerns, please contact me at schmide@rpi.edu. Have a good week and just keep in mind that spring break isn’t too far away.
