Greetings! First of all, let me remind you that Suds ‘N Flicks is tonight! You can find us in Mother’s (in the Union) and the doors will open at 7:30 pm so you can get a good seat for the movie which will start at 8 pm. We will be showing Enemy of the State, starring Will Smith. As always, we will provide a plethora of snacks and beverages and this event is free to all graduate students and guests with proper ID.
If you haven’t checked out our website in a while, give us a look at http://www.rpi.edu/dept/union/graduate. We are constantly updating the website to provide important information relevant to graduate students. Information regarding any activities or events that the Grad Council is planning can be found on our homepage. Our newsletter, Grad Life can also be found on our website, so if you don’t see a printed copy around campus, you can always find the articles here. Check out the website for information regarding commencement and leadership training opportunities. If you have any information or experiences that you’d like to let other grad students know about, just send me an email at dutkuk@rpi.edu.
At our last meeting we elected some new officers in the Graduate Council. Mitch Gold was elected to the position of treasurer and Andrea Barreiro was elected to vice president of communications. Congratulations to the new officers! There are still some empty seats on the council, so if you are interested, make yourself known. You can stop by one of our meetings, which are held on Sundays at 7 pm in the Union Room 3502 or you can send me a quick e-mail and we can talk about what positions are available. If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints please feel free to e-mail them to grad-council@rpi.edu.
