EMPAC showcases Dance Movies 6: Frost/Bite at the Heffner Alumni House. The dances take place in various scenes including a Spanish lobby, a couch in Iceland, and the Swedish subways. The show begins at 7:30 pm. Admission is free.

Genericon holds its 20th annual convention from Friday, January 26 to Sunday, January 28. The event includes 24-hour anime showings, board games, an art auction, video gaming tournaments, Cosplay competition, vendor rooms, panels, and more. Guests include Applegeeks, Questionable Content, PartiallyClips, and Ryk Spoor. Registration starts at 5 pm on Friday. The cost is $10 for RPI students, $15 for pre-registration, or $25 at the door.

Ground Zero features Zs, the Face Stabbers, and Kyle McDonald at 8 pm in the Nugent Hall Basement. Admission is free.

The Egg showcases the Bang on a Can All-Stars at 8 pm. Joining the band are saxophonist Don Byron and singer Iva Bittova. Tickets cost $24.

The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall features Sweet Honey in the Rock, a Grammy Award-winning female a cappella group. Tickets cost $25 for students, or $30 or $33 for adults. The show begins at 8 pm.

Pilobolus performs at Proctor’s Theatre at 7 pm. Pilobolus is an American dance company that has gained international acclaim for its dance and contortion performances. Tickets cost $19.75, $29.75, $34.75, or $39.75.
