The RPI Card Players Club presents a Texas Hold ’em tournament benefiting a number of charity organizations. Registration starts at 5:30 pm and the tournament begins at 6 pm in the McNeil Room. Registration costs $10. First place will receive a $150 gift certificate to Best Buy, second place a $100 gift card, and third place a $50 gift card. Cantores Minores visits Troy Savings Bank Music Hall to perform timeless choral classics. Cantores Minores is a highly acclaimed Finnish boys’ choir touring the Eastern United States during the month of October. The concert begins at 8 pm. Tickets cost $25 or $29.
The Egg sponsors a performance by [bjm_danse] at 8 pm. Formerly known as Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, the dance group mixes modern dance style with elements of jazz and avant-garde. Tickets cost $12 for children, $20 for seniors, or $24 for adults.
EMPAC hosts a collaborative performance between visual artist Leah Singer and singer Lee Ranaldo. Ranaldo uses his guitar, poetry, and soundscapes to enhance Singer’s manipulation of her films. The concert will take place in the Heffner Alumni House at 8:30 pm. Admission is free.

Northern Lights holds Hardcore Halloween Bash, Merauder, Brick by Brick, Hold it Down, Hangmen, and Terrafirmer at 7 pm. Tickets cost $10.
Ground Zero sponsors a Halloween Open Mic Night at 8 pm in the Nugent Hall Basement. Admission is free, but a costume is required in order to perform.
Guitarist Greg Carmichael leads his jazz ensemble, Acoustic Alchemy, for a concert at The Egg. Tickets cost $24. The concert begins at 8 pm.
Troy Savings Bank Music Hall welcomes singer Meashe Bruggergosman for a performance at 8 pm. Tickets cost $20 for students, and $25 or $28 for adults.
The Palace Theatre presents The Fab Faux, a band that tags itself as being “The Greatest Beatles Cover Band.” The musicians consist of Will Lee, Jimmy Vivino, Rich Pagano, Jack Petruzzelli, and Frank Agnello. Ticket prices range from $38.50 to $68.50. The concert begins at 8 pm.

The Empire State Plaza celebrates the 35th Annual Festival of Nations from noon to 5 pm. The event includes a parade of nations, native costumes, ethnic foods, music, and more. Tickets cost $1 for children ages three to 12 or $4 for those over 12. Children under three are admitted for free.
Proctor’s Theatre features The Music of Genesis: “Selling England by the Pound,” a concert that recreates the Peter Gabriel era. Tickets are sold for $25, $30, or $40. The concert begins at 7:30 pm.
