David Silverman provides a behind-the-scenes look at the story behind “The Simpsons” and how the show was created. Silverman was the Supervising Director for the show from 1990 to 1997. The talk is being held in DCC 308 from 7:30-9 pm.
EMPAC and iEAR Presents! sponsor Musica Electronica Viva! in the West Hall Auditorium from 7:30-9 pm. MEV plays improvisational electronic music, and the concert is free with an RPI ID. Tickets for the general public are $5.

Sparky and Rhonda light up the stage in Mother’s from 8-10 pm. As nationally-recognized folklorists, musicians, his­t­­­orians, storytellers, and authors, they will provide entertainment with themes from the American tradition.
Hollis Seamon, professor of English at the College of St. Rose, will speak about reading and writing detective fiction. The brown-bag lunch session will last from 12-1 pm in the Fischbach Room of the Library.
The GM Week Kick Off event entertains the crowd in the McNeil Room with Sheer Idiocy, Family Feud, and other shows from 7-11 pm. The event is free.
The RPI Photography Club exhibits their new work in Union room 3602 from 8-10 pm. Refreshments and food will be provided.

Sheer Idiocy amuses students for free in Mother’s from 8-10 pm. The campus’ improv comedy troupe will play some of their own games and draw others from national acts.
UPAC Concerts blasts away the crowd with the Battle of the Bands finale from 8-11 pm. Winners from the other two battle events will compete against each other for title of hardest rockers on campus.
The Fencing Club parries the competition at their annual invitational tournament in the Armory.
The candidates for student government offices debate their platforms in the McNeil Room of the Union from 1-5 pm. Listen to the arguments so you can make an informed decision on Monday.

The Panhellenic Council helps out the single people on campus by setting them up through a recreation of the MTV show “Singled Out.” Contestants will try to win a date from 7-9 pm in DCC 308.
Tuesday April 4, 2006
The daring guys of RPI strut their stuff in DCC 308 for Pi Beta Phi’s annual Mr. RPI competition. There is a cost to attend the event, and it lasts from 7-11 pm.
The Arnold Air Society hosts their annual casino night in the McNeil Room from 6-11 pm. Popular card games such as Texas hold ‘em and blackjack will be offered with the chance to win money.
Ground Zero rumbles the basement of Nugent Hall with their jazz and blues Jam Session from 8 pm-12 am. The event is free and open to any who want to watch or participate.

Pi Kappa Alpha plays dodgeball in the ’87 Gym from 11 am to 5 pm. The event is open to everyone.
The Tennis Club organizes a tournament on the Sharp Courts that starts at 9 am and is open to the general public.
The Provost’s Office sponsors the annual Provost’s Barbecue outside the Union from 11 am to 3 pm. Free food, drink, and games will be offered. Rain location is the Field House.
The final candidates for Grand Marshal and President of the Union debate their candidacies for students from 3-5 pm in the McNeil Room. Attend in person or tune in to RPI TV to hear the candidates’ last words before the election on Thursday.
APO’s Meanest Man on Campus candidates debate their reasons for being selected as the meanest man on the campus. Hear their arguments and cast your votes in the form of dollars and cents. All proceeds go to the Clover Leaf Center for Learning Disabilities.
