Student clubs participate in “Asian Week Marketplace” from 6-11 pm in the McNeil Room. There will be food, crafts, and games at each organization’s table, and the pricing is pay as you go.

EMPAC sponsors “Dreamscapes and Dark Places: Music Videos Spawned from Surrealism” at the Heffner Alumni House from 7-9 pm. They will be playing music videos from Beck, LCD Soundsystem, Aphex Twin, and the like. There is no cost to attend.

Channel 103.1 presents Powerman 5000 with special guests Sofa Kings, Dead Lift, and Savior Hate. The show starts at 7:30 pm at Northern Lights. Tickets are $13 in advance or $15 the day of the show.

V-Day RPI hosts the fifth annual “Vagina Monologues” in the West Hall Auditorium from 8-10 pm. Tickets are $5 for students or $8 for non-students, and all proceeds will be donated to rape crisis shelters in Troy.

Rosanne Cash performs at The Egg at 8 pm with The Greencards opening. Cash is promoting her latest album “Black Cadillac.” Tickets are $24 and can be purchased by calling 473-1845.

Ground Zero holds a free show of pop music and relaxing in the Nugent Hall Basement starting at 9 pm. GZ’s In-House President Andrew Eckel ’06 and My Friend Other will be performing.

Graduate student Jesse Pearlman Karlsberg presents his thesis show “Azariah: Whom Jehovah Helps” from 2-3 pm in the Old Songs Community Art Center. The show is free, and for more information please see http://www.arts.rpi.edu/viewevents.php?cID=169/.

The Rensselyrics stage their spring show entitled “Girls” from 7-9 pm in Mother’s. Tickets are on sale for $4 in the DCC and Union until Friday or can be purchased for $5 at the door. Guest groups will be SUNY Albany’s Serendipity, SUNY Fredonia’s Some Like it Hot, and the Smith College Notables.

Joseph’s House and Shelter raises money by presenting “Comedy Relief for the Homeless” at 8 pm in the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Tickets for students with a valid ID are $15 for general seating and $25 for reserved seating. These go on sale March 1 and can be purchased through the box office at 273-0038.

Asian Cultural Week continues with the “Wild on E!” show in the West Hall Auditorium from 8-11 pm. The event will look at how Asian culture and society has influenced mainstream pop culture. The official registration form can be found on

UPAC Concerts presents their Spring Battle of the Bands in the McNeil Room from 8-11 pm. Featured bands include The Face Stabbers and HaStyle & The Sun. Attendance is free.

WRPI holds its March general meeting at 4 pm in DCC 337. Students are invited to come and learn how to get involved in the station and on-air shows. Questions should be e-mailed to wrpi-mal@rpi.edu.

The Armenian and Hellenic student associations sponsor a Middle Eastern potluck dinner night at 6 pm in Mother’s. There will be food, music, and games.

Mike Domitrz teaches students about sexual response programs in an hour-long interactive presentation from 7-8 pm in DCC 308. After hearing of his sister’s rape, Domitrz took it upon himself to create a program that will get the public’s attention. This is a free event sponsored by Student Health Services.

UPAC Cinema presents L.A. Confidential in DCC 308 at 7 pm and 10 pm for $2.50 each. The movie follows how three detectives investigate a shooting at a nightclub. The cast includes Kevin Spacey, Russell Crowe, and Kim Basinger.

Richard Rittelmann ’60 discusses “The Future of the Profession” in the architecture field from 6-8 pm in the second- floor gallery of the Greene Building.

Saratoga Winners hosts Bleeding Through with special guests Every Time I Die, Between the Buried and Me, and Haste the Day. The show starts at 7:30 pm, and tickets are $15 in advance or $17 at the door.
