The C+CC asks the Rensselaer community to stop by and view their World AIDS Day Remembrance Exhibit featuring the NAMES Project Memorial Quilt. The exhibit will open at 9 am, and there will also be an interfaith memorial service from 4-4:30 pm.
Santa joins the Union’s efforts to raise money for the Clothe-A-Child campaign. There will be a bake sale outside the bookstore from 9 am-3 pm, and Santa will be available for pictures from 10:30-11:45 am and again from 12:45-2 pm. There is a $3 charge for each picture.
The Board of Trustees invites students and faculty to the 2005 Trustee Celebration of Faculty Achievement at 3 pm in the Russell Sage Dining Hall, featuring a lecture by Dean Kamen. Kamen is the President of DEKA Research and Development Corporation.

UPAC Mother’s presents Mark Rust for a holiday folk concert from 8-10 pm. Rust will be performing his annual show that combines traditional Christmas carols with Chanukah, Kwanzaa, and Diwali songs. Another concert will be held from 8-10 pm in Mother’s Saturday, December 3.

The Rensselaer Music Association holds their Holiday Concert series in the McNeil Room from 1-9 pm, with a break from 6-7:30 pm. The series will feature student musical groups with a similar set up to the Fall Fest concerts. For more information, visit http://www.union.rpi.edu/.
Malta Ballet Company puts on “The Nutcracker” being held at Albany’s the Egg at both 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm. The performance will include special guest Rachel Rutherford from the New York City Ballet Company. Tickets are priced at $26.50 for adults, $20.50 for seniors, and $15.50 for children 11 and under. Saratoga Winners provides an entire night of concerts featuring the following six bands: Guardian, Wretched, The Fairwell Reason, Shot Guns, For Shoot Out, and Endicott. The show starts at 7:30 pm, and tickets are $10 at the door.

President Shirley Ann Jackson encourages students to attend the farewell reception for Vice President for Institute Advancement David Haviland ’64, who has given 40 years of service to the RPI campus. The reception is being held in the Heffner Alumni House from 3:30-5 pm.

The Mueller Center holds another American Red Cross Blood Drive from 11:30 am-5:30 pm, with appointments available every 15 minutes. Walk-ins are also encouraged.
