Amy Biancolli, Albany’s Author of the Year 2004, speaks at the C+CC as a part of the Lenten Series. The event starts at 7 pm and admission is free.

CASA enhances Asian Awareness Weekend with the night market. This evening will be full of entertainment, food, and cultural displays in the McNeil Room starting at 7 pm.
The Egg hosts the bold and energetic Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Enjoy dance performances ranging from cutting-edge choreography to ballet. The admission is $24 for adults and the show begins at 8 pm.
G. Peter O’Hara, Ret., from the U.S. Army Benet Laboratories presents a lecture called “History and the Current State of the Design of High Pressure Vessels (Cannons).” This event will be held in DCC 337 from 10:30-11:30 am.
Home Made Theater hosts a play reading of Side Man by Warren Lieght at Spa Little Theater in Saratoga Spa State Park. The play begins at 7:30 pm.
The NYS Theatre Institute puts on a magical play adapted from Susan Cooper’s adventure King of Shadows. This theatrical performance will run from March 4-19 at the Schacht Fine Arts Center at Russell Sage College. Tickets for adults, students, and children are $20, $16, and $10, respectively.

Tsunami Relief: Asian Night for the Red Cross comes to West Hall Auditorium. As a part of Asian Awareness Weekend, this event is designed to help enrich people’s knowledge of the Asian cutlures, as well as raise funds to help out with the tsunami relief efforts. This event is from 1-4 pm in the McNeil Room.
Mother’s houses a “Joint A Cappella Show”. Come out and see all the RPI a cappella groups: The Rensselyrics, Rusty Pipes, and Partial Credit perform old and new songs.
WRPI and Hello Pretty City present Missy Bly, Frank Boscoes and The Pony in the Pancake in concert. Enjoy the acoustics and sounds of these three artists. The doors open at 8 pm and show starts at 9 at the Valentines Music Hall in Albany. The admission is $5.

Albany hosts the NY’s spring C.A.M.E.R.A show. Located at Clarion Inn just off I-90 exit 5, this event is for everyone interested in photography. Admission is $5 and the show will begin at 10 am.
The Egg presents master tunesmith Guy Clark and singer/songwriter Slaid Cleaves. Come and enjoy two of the day’s finest artists. The performance begins at 7 pm and admission is $22.

The New York State Writers Institute host Judith Johnson, professor and prize-winning poet. Johnson will read pieces from her new collection “Cities of Mathematics and Desire.” Reading begins at 8 pm and admission is free.
Rusted Root performs at Northern Lights in Clifton Park. The show begins at 7:30 pm and admission is $20 in advance and $23 at the door.
Piano Soloist Dong-Hyek Lim showcases his works at Troy Saving Bank Music Hall. This critically acclaimed classical artist has toured in Europe, Russia, and Japan. The event begins at 8 pm.
