Acclaimed Indian video artist and filmmaker Surajit Sarkar presents media in multiple dimensions. Sponsored by iEAR Presents!, Surajit gives RPI a special show of his work “Meals Ready.” This is an amazing opportunity to come and view filmmaking and even the Indian culture a different way. RPI Players showcase their talents in “An Evening of Performance” 2005. The Players will feature sections from plays by David Ives, Jean-Claude van Itallie, and John Bowen. The performances are at the RPI Playhouse on 15th St. on February 10-12 at 8 pm, and a matinee showing on February 12 at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $8 for students and senior citizens. Please call 276-6503 for ticket reservations or for more information.
Union Speaker’s Forum features Albert DeMeo in “Growing up Mafia; Confessions of a Mobster Son.” DeMeo is the son of a Mafia hit man and author of the novel “For the Sins of My Father.” He will speak in DCC 308 from 7:30-9:30 pm. All are freely welcomed.

Dr. Stephen E. Wiberley, Professor Emeritus, speaks at Folsom Library’s Fischbach Room monthly Lunch & Learn series. Dr. Wiberley will discuss and answer questions about his recently published memoirs No Ivory Tower. This event is free from 12-1 pm.
Rock to Rebuild, a concert aiding the victims of the Tsunami, takes place at Albany’s Palace Theater. The concert will have performances by Albany’s brightest stars. All proceeds will to go to Habitat for Humanity & Save the Children fund. Performances will include RPI’s Rensselyrics & the Rusty Pipes. Tickets are $10, and the show begins at 7:30 pm.
Theater Voices of Albany perform a staged reading of Educating Rita by Willy Russell. This is a comedy-drama about a worn-out English professor and a clever, street-smart hairdresser who end up teaching each other about life and literature. This performance is at the the Steamer No. 10 Theatre in Albany at 8 pm.
The Winter Carnival Activity Fair organized by Circle-K will be held in the McNeil Room from 5-7 pm. The Campus Serenaders will be performing at this event. In addition there will be games and activities with all the money proceeds going directly to Unicef (for the Tsunami relief efforts).
UPAC Mother’s welcomes Zoë Lewis to RPI Union Mother’s Wine Emporium. A one-woman band, Lewis’s music is upbeat and from various genres of jazz, jive, Latin, international folk, and even funk. Admission is free for RPI students and $7 for the general public. The event begins at 8 pm.

RPI Men’s Ice Hockey team hosts Brown University, for the 28th Annual Big Red Freakout! Come in your red and white and support the RPI men’s team. The game starts at 7 pm at the Houston Field House.
Lost City Angels perform at the New Age Cabaret located at 453 N. Pearl Street in Albany. This event is an all-age AIDS benefit. Tickets are $10 at the door, and the event begins at 7 pm.

The DSES department invites Bryan Scott Larkin of the Kodiak Group to speak in the Bruggeman Conference Center in the Center of Biotechnology at 3 - 4:30 pm. His talk is called “Business Data and Organizational Change: A Recipe for Technology Success.”
FYE and the American Nuclear Society sponsor an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 11:30 am-5:30 pm at the Mueller Center. Help others and donate!
