Bankrupting the modern student; some loan qualms

Dear Poly,

It will come as no surprise to students, but the most important minority in the upcoming presidential election could be university students. If, collectively, they demand the end of the present student loan system (with no bankruptcy option), students can control who is elected.

For some, agreeing to such loans before maturity can enlist them into a life of indentured servitude. If bankruptcy is an option in every other walk of life, it should be granted to immature, gullible students. The onus for bad loans should fall onto the lender, not the borrower.
