One week down, fourteen to go ... but who’s counting? Well, I am for one, as well as about 1,100 other seniors I know. So, where does this leave us? More importantly, where does it leave me? I will tell you—it leaves me with nothing to write about this week.

I could write about the $130 million donation, the tenth largest to a college ever, which RPI received just before break. How about writing about events happening in the Union, or what did go on in the Union? Maybe I could write about how my first week of classes went and how so many things happened to me. I could ask all of my readers for input on one thing or another, which undoubtedly would get responses. I could make promises of free hockey tickets for those of you who can do something, or find me not doing something else. I could write about how some students want the pizza place in the Union to deliver or how someone requested that the piano in the lounge be fixed, even though it was fixed two days before I got the e-mail.

Other topics could include how to take advantage of college before it passes you by. Maybe I could give everyone a recipe for my mom’s gumbo or write about the history of popcorn. Reminders of upcoming club budgeting deadlines or how the E-Board is gearing up for club budgeting. I could tell of things that I want to get done or ask for things that you would like to see done. Telling you how I feel things aren’t getting done because of one person or another or one group or another is another possible topic. I could thank people that have helped me or curse those who didn’t. I could tell you to plan for spring break soon like I did this week or to come to the pub while I am working.

However, all of these topics have been tried before. None of them have really gotten much of a response, with one exception. So, where does this leave me now? Right where I started—with nothing to write about this week.
