Alumnus enjoys campus, is upset by existing issues

The best reunion yet! It was the fifth anniversary of my tenth reunion. What a blast! Not only did I renew old friendships, I turned acquaintanceships into new friendships. Friday’s luncheon and dinner were a great way to reconnect. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting classes and seeing the maturity and focus of our students. On Saturday, the Mars Rover presentation was superb. Not only did I see RPI’s finest on stage, the film engendered incredible pride. Imagine, we saw a hockey player, an engineer, and a comedian all rolled up into one fantastic guy. To top it off, the football team won handsomely. Consider the faculty who mold and mentor these wonderful students. How tragic, then, that there are faculty members who prefer I contact them without using the rpi.edu domain for email, for fear of repercussions concerning faculty governance issues.
