Women’s Hockey
Julie Durham was named the ECAC Player of the Week. Durham compiled nine points in three games with 4 goals and an assist.
Women’s Swimming
Meghan Hartman was named the UCAA Female Swimmer of the Week. In two meets last week, Hartman won a total of six races spanning five different events. In addition, she also made an NCAA B-cut, ensuring that she can compete at the national event.
Men’s Swimming
With individual wins in the 200-yard freestyle, the 100-yard backstroke, and a team win in the 200-yard medley relay, Ben Fell was named the UCAA Male Swimmer of the Week.
Women’s Indoor Track
Senior Katie Roden was once again named the UCAA Female Track Athlete of the Week by winning the 1000-meter and 1500-meter races at the Capital District Invitational. Roden ran the 1000 in 2:12.87 and the 1500 in 4:59.21.
Freshman Katie Worden won both the weight throw and the shot put to lay claim to the UCAA Female Field Athlete of the Week.
Men’s Indoor Track
Senior Bill Monette won the weight throw with a mark of 13.61 meters and the shot put with a 14.98 meter toss at the Captial District Invitational to bring home the UCAA Male Field Athlete of the Week.
Women’s Basketball
Junior Melissa Coppola was named the UCAA Forward/Center of the Week for the week ending January 8. Coppola averaged 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds for the Red Hawks while playing in the Springfield College Naismith Invitational. For her performance, Coppola was also named to the all-tournament team.
Freshman Kristin Kaczynski earned Rookie of the Week honors for the week that ended January 15. Kaczynski averaged 6.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.0 steals as the Red Hawks went 3-0, including their big win over William Smith.
