Gallagher resigns, Philipps appointed PU

President of the Union Ava Gallagher '23 resigned from her position, leading current Club Operations Chair Catherine Philipps '24 to be appointed as the 135th President of the Union by a majority vote.

In discussion, Philipps shared future plans for encouraging Student Government involvement and other short and long-term goals.

Her experience includes almost 4 years on the Executive Board and has worked alongside many clubs on budgeting and various other Union activities.

Philipps will be confirmed at the following Student Senate meeting on December 11.
