Fire Report: Alarm set off due to a welder working in area; reset by TFD.

Leaving Scene: Student drove across College Ave., striking a tree and fence. Suspect then fled the scene and was located a short time later in area of Bryckwyck Apts; crash report filed.

Attempted Burglary: Student reported two males attempting burglary. Suspects fled upon seeing DPS.
Monday, January 1

Burglary/Grand Larceny: Members of a fraternity spotted ex-member in a member’s room and asked him to leave. They later found a credit card missing from another room. Suspect was arrested by Colonie PD for DWI and possession of marijuana, and had stolen credit card in his possession. CPD notified DPS, and report filed with DPS and TPD.

Reckless Endangerment: Officers responded to a call for youths skateboarding in area of Academy Hall. Upon arrival they spotted two students who saw officers, got into car and fled scene. They swerved the car in an attempt to strike officer. Plate number obtained and investigation is continuing.

Medical Report: While conducting weekly check of code blue phones, officer slipped and fell on icy pavement, striking his knee, wrist, and back.

Damaged Property: Driver of tractor was spreading salt on ground when tractor slid on ice, striking parked car and causing tire to deflate.
• Houston Field House
Larceny: During a women’s hockey game, person(s) entered visiting team’s locker room and stole items from lockers.
• Barton Hall
Possession of a weapon: Student called DPS regarding a weapon located in room. Weapon was turned over to DPS and investigation is continuing. Weapon was a heavy steel sword.
• 15th Street
Medical Report: Student fell on icy sidewalk and struck head causing minor bleeding; transported to Samaritan Hospital by TFD.
