Larceny: Bike secured with cable lock stolen from bike rack outside of building sometime between August 22 and August 23.

Sunday, August 25

• Beman Lane

Fire Alarm: Smoke alarm sensor activated by dust from electric sander.

• DCC

Larceny: Property stolen from WRPI. Later recovered in a damaged condition.

• Hall Hall

Medical: Underage student consumed alcohol at an off-campus location. Fell off railing by Hall Hall and injured head. RPI Ambulance transported patient to hospital.

Monday, August 26

• VCC

Larceny: Person left cable line, power wire, and mouse at workstation. All items stolen.

Tuesday, August 27

• North Hall

Larceny: Food stolen from common kitchen area.

• Troy Building.

Larceny: Wallet accidentally left at table in Bursar’s Office stolen.

• Warren Hall

Aggravated Harassment: Resident reported harassing phone call.

Wednesday, August 28

• Colonie Apartments

Attempted Larceny: Witness observed two suspicious persons by vehicle and contacted Public Safety. Suspects fled scene leaving car stereo behind.

• Ricketts Building

Fire: Trash cart on fourth floor ignited. One staff person transported to hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. Two Public Safety Officers treated for the same on scene. Cause unknown, investigation continuing.

• Rensselaer Union

Larceny: Back tire of bike secured to bike rack on south side of building stolen between 6:30 and 6:45 pm.

• Kellogg Drive

MV Accident: Vehicle bumped parked car causing it to pop out of gear and roll into curb. Minor damage.

Thursday, August 29

Attempted Burglary: Ground floor window on east side broken in apparent attempt to gain entry.

• Gurley Building.

Domestic: Employee reported harassment by ex-boyfriend via telephone at her workplace.

• Russell Sage Lab

Larceny: Bike locked with cable in front of building stolen between 4 and 5 pm.

• JEC Plaza

Larceny: Bike secured with flex lock stolen between 4 and 8:30 pm.

• Bouton Road

Criminal Tampering: Person reported someone tampered with his car’s fuel tank.
