Citizenship supported
The Office of the First-Year Experience has created a new global citizenship program for students that will focus on issues of diversity and cultural awareness, called "Preparing the Global Citizen."
A three-year, $150,000 grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is providing funding for the program.
"Preparing the Global Citizen" plans to establish a mini-grant system for faculty and staff to support cultural awareness outside the classroom and for improving the first-year experience.
