Northern Lights features Aqua Smut, Public Noise Concern, Sugareater, Kicked, and Outpost Orange at 7 pm. Tickets cost $10.

The RPI Players presents “City of Angels” at the Playhouse. The event takes place on April 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28 at 8 pm and on April 22 at 2 pm. Tickets cost $5 for RPI students with ID, $8 for students and seniors, and $10 for general admission. For reservations, call 276-6503.

Kate McDonnell performs at Mother’s at 8 pm. McDonnell is a folk singer and songwriter who has toured across Europe and the United States. Tickets cost $3 or $4 for non-RPI or Sage students, and $7 or $8 for general admission. Admission is free for RPI and Sage students.

The Egg sponsors Do Jump! at 3 pm. The theatre troupe combines acrobatics, dance, live music, and humor in its shows. Tickets cost $9 for children, $14 for seniors, and $18 for adults.

Northern Lights presents Bury Your Dead, Suicide Silence, Stick to your Guns, and Since the Flood at 6 pm. Tickets cost $12 in advance, or $14 on the day of the show.

The Rusty Pipes hosts its 2007 spring show in DCC 308. The event begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets cost $5.

UPAC presents the Final Battle of the Bands at 8 pm. Winners of the Fall and Spring battle will perform in the show. The event will take place in the McNeil Room. Admission is free.

John Mayall and Al Kooper perform at The Egg at 8 pm. Mayall will be performing with The Bluesbreakers and Kooper will be performing with The Funk Faculty. Tickets cost $24.

The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall hosts Hassan Hakmoun and Yungchen Lhamo in “From the Sahara to Shangri La.” Hakmoun is an expert in Moroccan Gnawa music while Lhamo is one of the leading Tibetan vocalists in the world. Tickets cost $22 for B seating or $25 for A seating. There is a $10 discount for students with valid ID. The event begins at 8 pm.

The Rensselaer Music Association holds its Spring Concert Gala starting at 1 pm at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Groups performing will feature the Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Concert Choir, Rensselyrics, Symphony Orchestra, Flute Quartet, Brass Quintet, Partial Credit, Rusty Pipes, and the Campus Serenaders. Admission is free.

The Egg showcases the Albany Berkshire Ballet at 3 pm. The ballet troupe will perform “Alice In Wonderland,” “The Rockwell Suites,” and “Nocturnes.” Tickets cost $10 for children, $13 for seniors, and $15 for adults.

Northern Lights hosts Emmure, With No Remorse, Bless The Fallen, Death Virginia, Amongst The Fallen, Told Her Twice, and Of The Betrayed at 7 pm. Tickets cost $10.

The Kurt Elling Quartet and the Bill Charlap Trio perform at The Egg at 7 pm. Elling sings jazz with his quartet and Charlap will perform on the piano with his trio. Tickets cost $24.
