Comedian Robbie Printz kicks off Freakout! Weekend at 8 pm in the McNeil Room. Printz, winner of the Boston Young Comics Festival, will be putting on a free show in coordination with UPAC Comedy. Sheer Idiocy will also be performing a mini show.

The Brian Kaplan Band performs with special guests Hector on Stilts, The Winter Pills, and My Last Sunrise at Northern Lights. BKB, a local band, has appeared with Paranoid Social Club, Seven Nations, and more. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 the day of the show, which starts at 7:30 pm.
The RPI Players present “An Evening of Performance” featuring three one act plays. These will be held in the RPI Playhouse at 8 pm Friday and Saturday, and at 2 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $5 with RPI ID, $8 for students and seniors, and $10 for the general public.

Alpha Phi sponsors “Queens of Hearts” Texas hold’em poker tournament from 12-5 pm in the McNeil Room. There is a $10 buy-in, and prizes will be a $50, $75, and $150 gift card to Best Buy for the top three winners. To pre-register, e-mail your name to dumask@rpi.edu.
RPI alumni entertain an audience of all ages at the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology from 8-9 pm. Stephan Moore and Jonathan Lee Marcus will create a show of improvised sound and light to play with the mind’s eye. This is a free event.

The Ballroom Dance Team hosts an informational meeting in the Academy Hall gym from 2-3 pm. They will demonstrate the various dances and explain the concept behind competitive ballroom dancing. Lessons and practice will be held from 3-6 pm.
Black History Month continues with the production of “Everybody’s Hero: The Jackie Robinson Story,” held at The Egg at 3 pm. Tickets are $6 for children and $10 for adults. This is a Family Wonders show sponsored by GE Energy.
WRPI holds its first general meeting of the semester at 4 pm in DCC 337. Students interested in joining the radio station are invited to come to the station in the basement of the DCC at 3 pm for pizza and to meet the station officers. Any questions, please contact wrpi-mal@rpi.edu.

Daniel Goodes stages his compositions through Eine Kleine Gamelan music and live performances. Larry Polanski will use MIDI software to create background images during the live portions. The event is being held in DCC 174 from 7:30-8:30 pm
