Efren Ramirez discusses the experience of playing Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite, as well as appearing in major TV shows and other movies. This discussion runs from 7:30-9 pm in the DCC 308. Admission is free, but tickets are required and should be picked up from the Union Admin Office.

Pepsi Arena invites families to the Broncs and Bulls World Challenge. Performers skilled in bull riding, bareback riding, and saddle bronc will show off their talents at 7:30 pm. Tickets are priced at $40, $30, and $20, and children’s tickets are half price.
The C+CC presents Bruce Eisenbell and his amazing guitar stylings from 8-10:30 pm. RPI students are admitted free, and the price for guests is $10.
Alianza Latina continues Latin Heritage Month with Alex Torres and his Latin Band in the McNeil Room from 8-10 pm. There is no cost to attend.
Saturday
he Drive Thru Invasion Tour attracts an audience of all ages with Allister, Fenix Tx, Houston Calls, and A Day at the Fair. The show starts at 5 pm at Northern Lights with tickets priced at $10 in advance or $12 at the door. For more information, e-mail info@northernlightslive.com.
RCA hosts an Open Mic Night for amateurs to perform and have their talents heard. Performances will run from 8-10 pm, and admission is free.

Saratoga Winners presents Sadistic Union with special guests Gunther Weezul and Without Regret beginning at 5 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.

The NY State Writers Institute hosts a seminar and reading/discussion with filmmaker and screenwriter Spike Lee. The seminar begins at 4:15 pm in the campus center ballroom of SUNY Albany. The CDC encourages students to meet with representatives from either Abercrombie and Fitch or JP Morgan, who are both seeking new employees. These meetings will be held in DCC 239 and DCC 235 respectively from 6:30-8 pm.

IPAC sponsors an American Red Cross Blood Drive in the Mueller Center from 11:30 am-5:30 pm. Appointments will be available every 15 minutes, and walk-ins are welcome.
ARC Short Courses introduce the emacs text editor to give students a better understanding of UNIX systems. The course is free, but registration is required at http://www.rpi.edu/computing/courses/. Registration begins October 6, and familiarity with UNIX is a prerequisite to this course.
