Lincoln Money Shot performs “rock and jazz from deep places in the soul” at 8 pm at the C+CC.
Academic and Research Computing teaches an introductory course on UNIX in the VCC North classroom from 2-4 pm. The material is taught on RPI’S RCS system, but is also applicable to other operating systems such as Linux distributions. EMPAC presents “EMPAC 360,” a guided tour around the EMPAC construction site with performances on all sides. Beginning at 7 pm, with performances at sunset, the event will feature pyrotechnics, aerial dance, music, and live visuals. The tour begins in the quad between the Folsom Library and MRC.

Rachel Dowty, a PhD candidate in STS, gives a presentation reviewing many aspects of the post-Katrina situation in Louisiana that the national media omit. She plans to show how political, historical, and cultural contexts directly affect the outcomes being seen. The colloquy will begin at 3 pm in Sage 3303.
The Polytechnic holds its annual ice cream social for those interested in joining the staff. The event starts at 7 pm in the Nason classroom. Come and meet the staff, have your questions answered, and enjoy some ice cream sundaes.
