Oakwood Cemetery presents "Evening at the Earl," its first-ever fundraiser from 5:30-7:30 pm. The cemetery will open Earl Chapel for one evening. The RPI Lighting and Research Center will provide lighting for the exterior of the chapel. Call 272-7520 for ticket information.

Mother's Wine Emporium presents Bill Staines at 8 pm. Admission free for RPI students with ID.

The New York State Writers Institute will sponsor a showing of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf" at 7:30 pm. This screening is part of the NYSWI's Fall 2001 Classic Film Series and will take place at Page Hall on the University at Albany's downtown campus. This event is free to the public.

Tuesday, September 25th

Margaret Geller, senior scientist at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, will deliver the annual Robert Resnick Lecture in Sage 3303. The lecture is titled "So Many Galaxies, So Little Time: A Graphic Voyage Through the Nearby Universe," and will cover the origin and evolution of galaxies that make up the universe.

Proctor's Theatre presents Cookin', a cooking percussion/variety show featuring four chefs, at 8 pm. For ticket information, call 346-6204.

Neil Bissoondath will speak in the Recital Hall of the University at Albany's Performing Arts Center at 8 pm as part of "Quebec New York 2001." This event is free to the public.
