According to reports, an intruder was seen in one of Sage’s dorms early Tuesday morning, leading to a lockdown of campus around 8 am. After police came to investigate, a gunshot-like sound was heard; as a result, a shelter-in-place warning was issued.
As several RPI buildings are located downtown, the order was issued for them as well.
