ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 19, THE RENSSELAER MUSIC ASSOCIATION HOSTED their first concert this year. The Family Weekend Concert, held in the Experimental Music and Performing Arts Center’s concert hall, included performances from the Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Contemporary Jazz Ensemble. Selections included an arranged version of music from the Mario Bros. games, Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Procession of the Nobles,” and various contemporary pieces. Later that night in the Academy Hall Auditorium, various jazz ensembles performed a variety of pieces.
