PSS: up, up, and … safely down

FROM THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, THROUGH SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, THE WARREN COUNTY OFFICE OF TOURISM AND PUBLICITY HOSTED the 40th annual Adirondack Balloon Festival. Both the RPI Photo Club and the RPI Flying Club attended the event over the weekend. The RPI Flying Club went to the event to attend the morning launch on Sunday. The Adirondack Balloon Festival was held this year at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport in Queensbury, NY, as it has been for many years. The event was initially held at Adirondack Community College but has since outgrown that venue. Since then, the event has expanded to accommodate 150,000 attendees over the four days of the event. According to the event’s website, it has been named one of the top 100 events in North America. For more information, visit http://adirondackballoonfest.org/.
