JUNIOR MIKE SARSON OF THE MEN’S LACROSSE TEAM FIRES a pass in RPI’s 14-3 win against Castleton State College on Tuesday. The Engineers, ranked 17th in the nation by the United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, is now 3-0 on the season after defeating Keene State College in a 10-9 decision on Saturday. Saturday’s match against the Owls saw senior Andrew Miller and junior Eric Valero both score three goals apiece in the RPI victory. Also scoring for Rensselaer were juniors Wes Rudy and Brett Overend. Junior goaltender James Manchester finished with eight saves in the victory, while Keene State freshman Jack Rogers had 11 stops in the loss. RPI continued its dominance Tuesday as senior Andrew Liptak and Miller both had three goals in the 14-3 victory. In addition, six other Engineers hit the back of the net over the course of the match.
