Well, the fall season is soon coming to an end. I hope those of you from other parts of the country and other parts of the world have had a chance to enjoy the beautiful Northeastern foliage. With that said I want to remind all of you that this Sunday ends Daylight Savings Time, so do not forget to turn your clocks back an hour! I always enjoy getting an extra hour of sleep!
The fall brings many fun things like leaf peeping, football, and of course Halloween. Yes, even though we are in college, and many of us are in our twenties, it is important to do what makes us feel young and happy. For me, I enjoy almost everything that goes along with Halloween. This includes carving pumpkins, baking seeds, making Halloween costumes, and watching It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. No, I do not suggest that you ignore your homework and other responsibilities, but I do suggest that you take time for other things. Balance is often a struggle for many college students, but it is an important part of life.
Last week, the focus of my article was the services that the Union provides to the Rensselaer community. Inadvertently, I forgot one of the most favored services of the Union, The Clubhouse Pub. So, this week I would like to take a moment and try to redeem myself with the Pub staff and let you know a little more about it.
The Pub is open Monday through Friday, 4 pm to midnight, and Saturdays from 6 pm to midnight. The Pub has daily specials and Happy Hour every Friday with free food for patrons. The Pub has also been known to have frequent promotional items from it vendors, including this month’s special promo! Visit the Pub for more details!
