Asafoakye Nyantakyi Staff Columnist There’s about five-and-a-half weeks of the semester left and counting, so exams and final papers will be hurled at us at neck-breaking speeds. Ensuring that we are prepared should be our top priority. At the risk of sounding like a broken, pirated record, getting plenty of rest and studying for these exams is crucial. Nevertheless, in the midst of taking these exams and writing these final papers, remember to get plenty of rest and remember to work smart while working hard.
The economy is sure to be a hot topic for many more years to come. In light of the recent budget cuts and job losses, students are furious at the direction that their school is heading. Budget cuts are happening left and right and the decisions that are being made by the “higher-ups” haven’t been sitting well with their customers. I applaud and encourage the Rensselaer community to continue voicing their opinions about what is going on our beloved campus. Hopefully, “the powers that be” will realize that we are an integral voice in the decisions that occur at this institution.
As I mentioned earlier in the month, filling out all the necessary paperwork on time is necessary to avoid last-minute cramming. In just a few more weeks my fellow freshmen and I will have survived our first year in college. I am sure that this was academically challenging for many of my freshman peers and me [cough IEA]. However, with the end of the semester looming, it feels great to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope that the rest of the semester will be a success for everyone. Raise the grades! | |
