This year’s annual spring Florida trip was highly successful for the baseball team; this year they went nearly undefeated, finishing the spring break in Tampa with a 7-1 record. The Red Hawks are 23rd on the NCBWA Division III poll this week.

The only loss on their record is against then-15th-ranked Augustana College, whom the Red Hawks took revenge on the next day with a 15-5 statement. Sophomore Camden Mamigonian leads the team offensively with a .485 batting average. Nearly half of his hits have been for extra bases including five doubles, a triple, and a home run. He has two stolen bases, 14 RBI and a slugging percentage of .788. Senior pitcher Tim Klein is 2-0 on the season with a 3.75 earned run average. He has nine strikeouts and only four walks in 12 innings of work. The freshmen are led by shortstop Dan Stroud who is batting .375 and also has a home run in 16 opportunities. He has scored seven runs, batted in six, stolen two bases, and has a .625 slugging percentage.

The team takes the field this weekend for their home opener on Robison Field, two sets of double headers with Clarkson University on Saturday and Sunday.
