The RPI men’s hockey team is on a nine-game losing streak, so now might be the time for the student section to stop the opening “You suck” and the “sucking” cheer on penalties.

This is especially true since the students don’t cheer the team on with as much enthusiasm for the rest of the game.

The team needs fan support for 60 minutes just like they must play for 60 minutes.

The next home men hockey game is February 1 and it would be nicer not to hear “You suck” and to hear more cheering and some new creative cheers from the students section. Furthermore, on the “Go red—go white” cheer the north side does “go red” and the south side does “Go white.” It might take a couple of “Go red” for the south side to get going.
