Monday, August 27

• Union

Medical Report: Pedestrian was walking across lot when a vehicle started backing up. Pedestrian put arm out and there was incidental contact between vehicle and pedestrian. Pedestrian complained of pain but refused medical attention, stating would seek treatment from personal physician.

• Sharp Hall

Fire Report: Fire alarm set off due to cooking smoke. Reset by TFD.

Tuesday, August 28

• Quad

Medical Report: Student struck head on wall-mounted lamp, causing a minor laceration to head. Treated at scene by RPIA.

Wednesday, August 29

• Quad

Underage Drinking: RA saw liquor bottles in plain sight within a room. RA confronted resident, who became argumentative and shoved RA into hall and then locked door. Public Safety was called to scene and student admitted to having alcohol. DOSO notified.

Thursday, August 30

• Hall Hall

Medical Report: Student had water in ear, attempted to remove it with a cotton swab and hydrogen peroxide, causing loss of hearing and pain to affected ear; transported to St. Mary’s by RPIA.

• Science Center

Petit Larceny: Locked bike removed from rack outside of the building.

• Bumstead Garage

Grand Larceny: TIG welder removed from garage.

Safety Tip: Avoid walking alone once it’s dark out. Find a buddy to walk with if you have to go out or if you can’t find one, call Public Safety’s escort service, available to students 24 hours a day.
