Attempted Robbery: Student reported that on February 21 at 8 pm two white males, approximately 20 years of age, approached him near Greene Building and demanded his laptop. Victim refused and challenged the subjects who then opted to flee the area.

Criminal Mischief: Side window of parked car smashed.


Monday, February 26

Unauthorized Use of Computer: Third floor office occupant reported someone used their computer over the weekend without authorization.

• Barton Hall
Medical: Person with unknown illness. RPI Ambulance transported patient to hospital.

• VIC
Criminal Mischief: Window damaged by BB.

• Rensselaer Union
Medical: Visitor fell in lobby. Patient transported to hospital.

Criminal Tampering: Mailboxes tampered with.


Wednesday, February 28

Aggravated Harassment: Staff person reported receiving harassing phone calls.

• Amos Eaton
Medical, Alcohol Related: Graduate student passed out in bathroom. Medical personnel responded, subject refused medical attention and subsequently taken care of by spouse.

Unauthorized Occupation: Persons residing in apartment without authorization of Residence Life. Advised to leave premises and complied.

• Sage Ave.
Harassment: Person reported that his car had eggs thrown upon it while parked near E-Dorms.


Tip of the Week: Harassing phone calls are often intended to generate a response from the victim. Don’t react, just hang up. If the calls persist, file a report with Public Safety.
